Mt. Vernon Estate, VA, May 13, 2005 --

Safe Passage International assisted with the cleanup of the grounds of Mt. Vernon, George Washington's bucolic estate along the Potomac River, which was damaged by Isabel, the costliest hurricane to make U.S. landfall in 2003. Jon Gerlach provided photo documentation of volunteer work crews as they cut and removed vast amounts of fallen trees. Also, Safe Passage International announced today that it has joined the Leadership Circle of businesses who actively support the Travelers Conservation Foundation in its efforts to preserve and protect natural and historic treasures important to tourism.
